Nico Terol set the fastest time in the first free practice session of the Moto2 class in Aragon. The Spaniard from Team Aspar, fresh from a good test carried out on the Alcarras track, stopped the clock at a time of 1:54.627, a time which allowed him to precede his compatriot from Team Pons, Esteve Rabat, by 144 thousandths.

Third time for the Kalex of Finnish Mika Kallio, winner in Brno. The #36 of the Marc VDS Racing Team, who raced in the Italian speed championship last weekend on a BMW (he won both heats in Mugello) precedes the Spaniard Jordi Torres and the first of the Italian drivers, Simone Corsi.

The Roman from Team NGM Mobile Forward Racing, who has a gap from the top of 362 thousandths, precedes the Japanese Takaaki Nakagami, the Swiss Thomas Luthi and Pol Espargarò, the next Yamaha MotoGP rider:

Closing out the Top Ten are the Frenchman from the Came Iodaracing Team Johann Zarco and the world championship leader Scott Redding (who underwent surgery on his right forearm after the Misano race). The other Italian drivers are Alex de Angelis 11th and Mattia Pasini 18th.
