Moto2 | GP Misano Test 3: Vietti in command, Arbolino forced to Q1

Moto2 GP Misano Tests 3 – Celestino Vietti (Fantic Racing) achieved the best time in the third and final test session of the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix, 12th stage of the Moto2 class, scheduled for Misano.

The Team Fantic Racing driver, who took the lead with his Kalex with a time of 1:36.078, preceded Aron Canet (Pons) by 0.182s and Jake Dixon (Aspar) by 0.185s.

Somkiat Chantra (Team Asia) is fourth, ahead of Joe Roberts (Italtrans) and leader Pedro Acosta (Red Bull Ajo). Closing out the Top Ten are Barry Baltus (Racing GP), Filip Salac (Gresini), Jeremy Alcoba (Gresini) and Alonso Lopez (SpeedUp).

Also qualifying directly for Q2 were Ai Ogura (Team Asia), Marcos Ramirez (Onlyfans American Racing), Mattia Pasini, who as a Sky commentator returns to the track with the #34 of the legendary Kevin Schwantz, who also autographed his tank and Sam Lowes ( Marc VDS).

A session to forget for Tony Arbolino (Marc VDS) who was unable to gain direct access to the final qualifying phase. The driver from Garbagnate Milanese, who is second in the Championship, 22 points behind leader Acosta, will have to go through Q1, where we also find Dennis Foggia (Italtrans), Fermin Aldeguer (SpeedUp) and Alberto Surra (Forward) among others.
