Moto2 | Gp Mugello FP2: Chantra precedes Fernandez and Acosta
Fifth time for Tony Arbolino
Moto2 Italian GP Mugello Free Practice 2 – Somkiat Chantra achieved the best time in the second free practice session of the Moto2 class Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, the eighth stage of the 2022 MotoGP World Championship.
The Team Asia rider set the best lap with a time of 1:52.350, ahead of the Team Red Bull Ajo riders, Augusto Fernandez and Pedro Acosta (category rookie and 2021 world champion in the Moto3 class, ed.) .
Fourth and fifth times for Albert Arenas (GasGas) and our Tony Arbolino (Marc VDS), followed by Aron Canet (Pons), Joe Roberts (Italtrans), Manuel Gonzalez (VR46 Master Camp), Sam Lowes (Marc VDS) and Fermin Aldeguer (Speed Up).
In addition to these drivers, Celestino Vietti, Niccolò Antonelli, Jake Dixon (who with his FP2 time remains the fastest of the day, ed.) and Filip Salac are also provisionally qualified for Q1.
The other Italians are: Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Italtrans) 22nd, Simone Corsi (MV Agusta Forward) 26th, Alessandro Zaccone (Gresini) 26th and Mattia Pasini (on track with Team Aspar after the long period as a commentator, ed.) 27th.
