Moto2 | Gp Jerez Race: first success for Fabio Di Giannantonio in the name of Fausto Gresini
On the podium Marco Bezzecchi and Sam Lowes
Moto2 GP Spain Jerez Race – Fabio Di Giannantonio (Gresini Racing) dominated the Moto2 class Spanish Grand Prix, fourth race of the 2021 MotoGP.
The Roman driver, after a perfect start from the front row, immediately took the lead, going on to win with a wide margin over his pursuers. For "Diggia" it is the first victory in Moto2, he had not won since the 2018 Thailand GP in the Moto3 class.

On the podium were compatriot Marco Bezzecchi (Sky Racing Team VR46), despite an error in the initial stages of the race, and Sam Lowes (Marc VDS).
At the foot of the podium was Remy Gardner (Red Bull Ajo) who preceded the rookie and team-mate Raul Fernandez.
Xavi Vierge (Petronas) finished sixth, followed by Ai Ogura (Team Asia), Joe Roberts (Italtrans), Aron Canet (Boscoscuro Aspar) and Marcel Schrotter (Intact GP).
Also scoring points were Marcos Ramirez (American Racing), Jorge Navarro (Boscoscuro), our Stefano Manzi (Pons) and Lorenzo Baldassarri (MV Agusta Forward) and Bo Bendsneyder (Sag Team).
Many crashes, including those of Augusto Fernandez (Marc VDS), Somkiat Chantra (Team Asia), Nicolò Bulega (Gresini), Hector Garzo (Pons), Albert Arenas (Boscoscuro Aspar) and Simone Corsi (Mv Agusta Forward).
Remy Gardner remains at the top of the world rankings with 69 points against 66 for Sam Lowes, 63 for Raul Fernandez, 56 for Marco Bezzecchi and 52 for winner Fabio Di Giannantonio.
