Melandri wins and thrills at the Motorshow

The races at the Motor Show are first of all entertainment and fun, but when a rider gets on a motorbike, the desire to stay in the front is in his DNA.
This is what happened to Marco Melandri who this morning lost super pole by 3 tenths while taking first place in INTERNATIONAL SUPERBIKERS, RACE 1.

Marco Melandri:
“This morning I was surprised with my performance because I knew I was fast but I was in very good company, in particular, Ben Bostrom and Troy Bayliss were considered favourites.
I had tried this bike at MOMI and I liked it, the team then helped me a lot and this morning we arrived here full of energy and with a great desire to have fun. The day started in the best way, in practice I was always at the front, fighting with Dovizioso. I lost pole because I had to wait my turn and then the bike skidded.
Then came the victory in race 1, a great satisfaction!! I came to have fun but, once I got on the bike, my rider instincts prevailed. It was a good race, 20 hard-fought laps. Definitely a good show for the large audience that crowded the stands in area 48.
I would like to thank my new team for all the support they are giving me. I came to the Motor show for fun and I found my new complete team, the balance and two specially prepared bikes.”

Marco smiles and the positive change since "Macio" became part of the Honda family and, in particular, of the Telefonica MoviStar Honda MotoGP Team captained by Fausto Gresini is evident to everyone.

Excellent performance by Marco Melandri also for the "American" direct elimination race 2 where Marco finished in third place behind De Puniet and Bussei.
