Max Neukirchner in Moto2
Max Neukirchner's 2011 says Moto2. The German rider, dismissed from the Honda Ten Kate team after a disastrous final SBK season, managed to secure an annual contract from Martin Wimmer's MZ. “I'm very happy to have signed with MZ Racing,” wrote Max on the his website, “after this very disappointing season I am now looking forward in a positive way. I know that many of my fans would have preferred me to stay in Superbike but I haven't found any competitive solution. Maybe our paths will cross again, but this is the time to start a new chapter. MZ will build the bike on me and next week I will ride it for the first time in Valencia, where the technicians will be able to do their analyzes to understand the direction to take. The MZ factory is about 30 kilometers from the Sachsenring and I live halfway there. I have always had a strong emotional bond with this brand because my father also rode several MZ motorbikes and therefore for me it is a dream to be able to race for them."
With the arrival of Neukirchner the team will be restructured starting from engineer Marco Nicotari in the technical direction, who will bring his great experience from Pro Ride Racing SBK.
