Voxan Wattman Max Biaggi – Starting tomorrow, Friday 30 October, Max Biaggi will attempt to break 12 speed records on the Voxan Wattman electric motorbike.

Initially the attempt was planned in the largest salt flat on the planet, precisely in Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, but given that travel is made difficult by the Covid-19 pandemic, Châteauroux airport in France was chosen, near the headquarters of the motorcycle manufacturer, Venturi.

The challenge will start tomorrow 30 October and will last three days. The six-time world champion (four in the 250cc class and two in the Superbike, ed.) hopes to celebrate the records for the 20th anniversary of the Venturi Group's electric adventure.

Biaggi will ride three different bikes, which will also be chosen based on the wind. There is the faired one, but in case of excessive side wind the lighter one will be used.

The records are divided into three different distances: quarter mile, mile and 1 km and will be carried out both with a rolling start and from a standing start. The bikes all have the same power, 367 hp (270 kW).

Statements Max Biaggi speed record attempts Voxan Wattman

“This will be our third time riding on the runway at Chateauroux airport. The performance in the June and August tests gave us confidence. We are more than ready. This weekend, if the track is dry and crosswinds are light, we will be able to break several records. I look forward to bringing these titles back to Monaco and the team!”

On the Twitter profile Voxan Motors wrote: “Here we are! We are returning to Châteauroux airport (France) where we will try to set new world speed records. Stay tuned from Friday to Sunday! And in the meantime, enjoy this behind-the-scenes video of our latest high-voltage signature test sessions.”
