THE DUCATI MARLBORO TEAM GUESTS AT THE ITALIAN EMBASSY IN TOKYO

The official tests in Suzuka (30/31 March) offered the Ducati Marlboro Team
the opportunity for a visit to Tokyo, guests of the Italian Embassy
for a meeting with the Japanese press and the "Italian world" in
country of the rising sun (entrepreneurs, professionals and representatives of the world
financial and cultural).

His Excellency Gabriele Menegatti (Italian Ambassador to Tokyo) opened
the doors of his residence, one of the most beautiful palaces and gardens in the
city, to around 300 guests to celebrate the Borgo Panigale Reds
ahead of their MotoGP debut.

In addition to the two riders Troy Bayliss and Loris Capirossi with their Desmosedicis
officials, representing the Italian team, intervened directly
from Suzuka, the director of the Team Livio Suppo and Corrado Cecchinelli, director
track technician.

Japan, where Ducati is present with its own branch, is
the third most important market for the Bolognese company, with around 4.000
motorcycles registered in 2002 on a total of 40.000 pieces sold throughout
world.
