Kathleen Hayden “It still doesn't seem real”

Nicky Hayden – After the funeral of the late Nicky Hayden, who lost his life in a terrible bike accident near Misano, the sister of the Kentucky kid entrusts her last farewell message to her brother on social media and thanks everyone for being close to her and the his family in these terrible moments. These are the words that Kathleen Hayden, Nicky's younger sister, shared:

“I reflect on these last 2 weeks, it still doesn't feel real. Trying to process, understand and accept this loss will be something that I think will take a long time. How such a beautiful soul could have been taken away so soon. But I believe God has a plan. I want to thank everyone for all the support and messages we have received during our darkest hour. I haven't been able to respond to all of you, but I have read all of your condolence messages. They gave me more comfort than you can imagine. To Jackie (Nicky's girlfriend).. I am grateful for all the love shared between you and Nicky. You will forever be a sister to me and my children's aunt.
Tommy, Jenny and Roger… from this experience I learned how much I need each of you. A sibling is more than a brother or sister. He is a best friend. I love you all.
Mom and Dad... you are Rock Stars. Thank you for being the greatest parenting models in the world. You are an inspiration and the kind of parent I try to be. Nicky, my big brother… you may be gone from this Earth, but you will always be in my heart. Thanks for the memories.. I will never forget you ❤️

As I reflect on these last 2 weeks, it still doesn't seem real. Trying to process this loss is something I think is going to take a long time to understand and accept. How such a beautiful soul could be taken away too soon. But I believe God has a plan. I want to thank everyone for all the support and messages we have received during our darkest hour. I have not been able to respond to all of you, but I've read each and every one of your well wishes. They have brought more comfort than you'll ever know. To Jackie.. I'm grateful for all the love shared between you and Nicky. You will forever be a beautiful sister to me and aunt to my children.
