CIV: PreMoto 3 250, first victory for an amazing Alberto Surra, "Today I put my heart and cunning into it"
Brianti and Bartolini follow. In the 125 Bertelle ahead of Marfurt and Gennai
Civ Imola – after only 2 races comes the first success of Alberto Surra (Speed Up) which, together with Thomas Brianti (2 Wheels Polito) ed Elia Bartolini (Rmu) put on a great show on the track. The very young driver of the VL Team - one year younger than his rivals - drove a perfect race, fighting from the first laps but launching the decisive attack only on the last lap, a tactic that allowed him to gain victory and leadership of the championship. Brianti 2nd and Bartolini 3rd complete the podium.
“I'm very happy to have managed to win – declared an emotional man Alberto Surra – and I hope to continue like this at Misano too. Today, compared to yesterday, I put my heart and cunning into it: I knew I could win and I decided to pass Brianti only on the last lap without giving him the chance to reply. I'm very happy".
“It was very hard – he explained Thomas Brianti – but second position is more than fine. At Misano we will try to improve further."
“Compared to yesterday I made several mistakes – the words of Elia Bartolini – how to arrive long at the Variante Bassa. The championship will be very tough, Alberto and Thomas are really very strong."
In the 125 Matteo Bartelle he led a race in the 250 group, ahead of the finish line Nikolas Marfurt e Mirko Gennai, all on Honda.
“The victory has finally arrived – he commented Matthew Bertelli. I made a good start and tried to stay with the 250 in order to get away from my rivals."
“I made a good start – he said Nikolas Marfurt – but then I switched to the filler, losing control and a lot of time."
“The start wasn't great – he concluded Mirko Gennai – but then I managed to recover up to the podium”.
