CIV Imola Moto3 and PreMoto3 – it was there as usual Moto3 to open the race weekend, and there was no shortage of spectacle. Tony Arbolino, a wild card who started from pole position, won solo; but all hell broke loose behind it.
With Bruno Ieraci – momentary leader of the standings – forced to miss the race due to injury, Manuel Pagliani, Kevin Zannoni e Mattia Casadei, together with Edoardo Sintoni, they battled to win first place in the Championship. The fight was very tough and, at the end of a last lap full of overtaking, it was Mattia Casadei to forcefully enter the Variante Bassa, finishing in second place and thus gaining the lead of the classification. They followed across the finish line: 3rd Kevin Zannoni, 4 ° Manuel Pagliani and 5 ° Edoardo Sintoni.

“I didn't expect to dominate right away – he explained Tony Arbolino. I race in the CEV with the Honda, but today I used a KTM, even if it's not the first time I've ridden it. I'm happy with how the bike was prepared, I had a lot of fun. Here at Civ the level is not low even if there are three or four strong riders, while in Spain more than half of the classification is capable of winning. In a tenth there can be ten of us and the level, even if not by much, is higher. It's much more difficult to get a podium there, everyone is already going strong from the first round and therefore the approach to the weekend must be different. Here I took advantage of the experience I have in this aspect."

Great race too PreMoto3, where a small group of riders - mainly on 4T motorbikes - took off and fought for the victory. After the fall of Elia Bartolini (only driver on Q2), remained: Leonardo Taccini, Thomas Brianti, Matteo Bertè, Riccardo Rossi e Lorenzo Bartalesi.
At the finish line, he won in the 250 4T Leonardo Taccini, then Thomas Brianti 2 ° e Matteo Bertè 3rd. While the victory of the 125 2T went to Matteo Ripamonti, Followed by Pasquale Alfano 2 ° e Raffaele Fusco 3 °.

Taccini 1 Imola 2016

“The race was difficult – he commented Leonardo Taccini – even for the great heat. However, it went well thanks to the work done with my team. I would like to dedicate this victory to my uncle Enrico who is no longer here."

“I had a lot of fun today – he concluded Matteo Ripamonti – because I managed to leave alone. On the last lap I relaxed and risked them coming to pick me up; but I still managed to get my first victory."
