CIV: the 2017 season finally gets underway, a Championship to be experiencedCIV: the 2017 season finally gets underway, a Championship to be experienced

CIV 2017 – finally the long winter is over and the riders are ready to lower their visors to sprint for the green light of the new CIV season.
The weekend of April 22nd and 23rd will in fact see the start of the Championship with the 1st and 2nd rounds in Imola with many new features on the field.
First of all, the expansion of the season to 6 stages - each consisting of two rounds - which will give rise to an even more heated fight on the most beautiful circuits in Italy: Imola, Mugello, Misano and Vallelunga.

Also of great interest is the return of live TV thanks to Automototv (Sky channel 148) which will broadcast the entire championship, in addition to the live streaming on Sportube.tv also accessible on the civ.tv website.
But it doesn't end there, the races will be broadcast deferred on SKY Sport MotoGP (channel 208).

Moving on to the protagonists of the season, Moto 3 will, as always, have a dominant role as a preparatory class for the leap into the MotoGP; and will see two new very important teams.
Il Max Racing Team captained by the Corsair Max Biaggi deploys the young man Davide Baldini – already Italian MiniGP 50 Champion – flanked by the much more expert Alexander Del Bianco; great illustrious entrance is also that of Gresini Racing Team which aims to build a supply chain of talents starting from the CIV up to the MotoGP with Antony Groppi, Tommaso Marcon e Luca Gresini.

Also worth keeping an eye on Leonardo Taccini – Reigning Italian Premoto3 250 Champion – who moved to Team Miralux Pos Corse e Nicholas Spinelli returned home Pro Racing Team after a year at the court of Michel Fabrizio.
Michelle Fabrizio who entrusted the two Ktm's Team MF84 Pluston Althea a Kevin Zannoni e Sander Kroeze.

The project is also very interesting Team 3570 MTA – former Team Italia who retired from the MotoGP – which he fields on his Mahindras Kevin Sabatucci, Gianluca Sconza ed Edorardo Sintoni.
Big surprises could also come from Manuel Mazzullo e Raffaele Fusco of the Team MTR e Thomas Rossi official pilot of Team RMU VR46 Riders Academy.

Moving on to PreMoto3, which from this season sees a single ranking between 250 4T and 125 2T, the SIC58 Squadra Corse reconfirm Devis Bergamini next to the debutant Matthew Patacca while the Team Miralux Pos Corse has secured the outgoing Italian Champion of the MiniGp 50 Matteo Boncinelli.
Three contenders for the title will also be: the expert official drivers of the Team RMU VR46 Riders Academy Elia Bartolini e Lorenzo Bartalesi e Thomas Brianti of the Team 2WheelPoliTO.

But great attention is also paid to the very young Alberto Surra who inherits the motion of VL Team who won the title in 2016 and who concluded a really interesting pre-season.

Obviously also of great interest is the fight between the Superbike champions in which Michele Pirro on Ducati he seeks revenge after last year's disqualification. As already in 2016, his most accredited opponent seems to be Matthew Baiocco – passed to Aprilia – ed Eddi La Marra on Ducati.

Motograndprix will cover all the stages of the CIV providing news, curiosities, updates and insights, wishing all riders, spectators and enthusiasts an amazing show!
