Checa out of the tunnel….

Carlos Checa he seems to have definitively emerged from the tunnel of bad luck that has gripped him since that cursed fall at Donington Park when, riding the Honda, he seriously risked not only his sporting career but also his personal one.

It's thanks to Dr Costa and to his loving care that Carlos now seems to have returned.

Here are his words after the great performance at Le Mans:

'For the first time this season I'm enjoying the post-race time.

It was very important for me to get on the podium because it put an end to a really dark period that I had been carrying with me since the start of the world championship.

I managed to get out of the tunnel!!

People couldn't understand what I was feeling.

In some moments I was too confused, I couldn't think that after the good pre-season my form could have changed so drastically.

In Jerez I hit rock bottom, and the subsequent tests done at Mugello marked the turning point.

At Mugello I hope to do well but I also know that biaggi, Red e Capirossi they will be the opponents to beat.'
