Second victory of the season for the Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (in the photo), who dominated a race from the start, which had not started under the best auspices.
A bad accident at the start forced the race direction to give the red flag and shorten the race to just 9 laps out of the 17 planned.
An obligatory intervention given the dynamics of the accident, which involved 4 riders and raised fears for the health of two of them, our Davide Pizzoli and the Aleix Espargarò team rider Makar Yurchenko.
In fact, the Italian's motorbike did not start when the traffic lights went out, probably due to a problem, according to what was written on the Facebook page Dadda7 of Davide, to the control unit that compromised the correct functioning of the Selt Control. Left stuck in the middle of the track, she was then "hit" by Yurchenko, who was arriving together with two other drivers from the back rows.
Fear for the Kazakh pilot, who remained on the ground and was immediately rescued and taken to the medical center. Fortunately for him, the damage was limited to broken wrists. Head trauma instead for Pizzoli, who is now in hospital for checks, but lets us know that he is fine, via Facebook:
“Hi everyone, I'm fine, I'm in the hospital doing some tests but I'm fine!!
My bike stalled on the grid and a rider from the rear hit me squarely"

Having archived the first start, at the second start Quartararo did not hesitate and immediately took the lead of the group, accumulating a substantial advantage, which led him to cross the finish line with an almost 4 second advantage over his first pursuer, the poleman Rodrigo. Third was the Japanese Hiroki Ono, with the Asia team Honda.
The only one to try to keep up with the pace set by her teammate was Maria Herrera, but her run was unfortunately stopped with a fall during the second lap. Fourth place for Navarro on the very Italian Ioda.
First of the Italians is Andrea Migno, fifth with the Kalex of the Aspar-VR46 team, followed by teammate Luca Marini, tenth to close the top ten; finally twelfth and thirteenth position for Manzi and Bulega. Finally, Gabriele Ruju was thirty-fourth with the Honda of the PromoRacing team.

At the end of the second round of the Spanish championship, Fabio Quartararo is firmly at the top of the standings, thanks to the two seasonal successes and the second place in race 2 in Jerez, second is Rodrigo, who gains a position on Herrera, who with the fall of today she finds herself third, 25 points behind the lead.
Fifth place for Andrea Migno, first of the Italians, tenth Bulega, followed by Manzi (thirteenth) and Marini (sixteenth). Still zero points for Pizzoli and Ruju, who did not participate in the first round.
