The second day of Irta testing in Jerez reserved for the Moto2 and Moto3 classes was ruined by bad weather. The heavy rain that fell has in fact changed the teams' plans, with few riders on the track and obviously very high chronometric references. In these conditions there are those who preferred not to take to the track like the three riders of the Moto2 class Team NGM Mobile Forward Racing, our Simone Corsi, Alex de Angelis and Mattia Pasini, as well as many other big names like the riders of Team Pons and Johann Zarco, driver of the IodaRacing Project. Others instead "challenged" the wet asphalt of the Andalusia circuit to collect useful data in case the May GP was held in bad weather.

The fastest in the Moto2 class was Scott Redding, riding the Kalex of the Marc VDS Racing Team. In the second session of the day, the British driver stopped the clock at a time of 1:55.082, against the 1:55.378 of Toni Elias, who was the fastest yesterday in the dry. Third time for Dominique Aegerter, riding the Suter of Team Technomag carXpert. Behind the Swiss rider we find Mike di Meglio's Motobi, which in turn precedes Anthony West's Speed Up, one of the fastest riders in these weather conditions. The Top Ten is closed by Nico Terol (Suter Team Aspar), Mika Kallio (Kalex Marc VDS Racing Team), Rafid Topan Sucipto (Speed Up of Team QMMF) and the two Kalex of Team Desguaces La Torre Zelos of Xavier Simeon and Marcel Schrotter .

In the Moto3 class the fastest was Jack Miller, riding the FTR Honda of Team Caretta Technology-RTG. The Australian rider stopped the clock at 1:57.627, a time 174 thousandths better than that set by team-mate John McPhee. Three KTMs follow, those of Luis Salom (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Alex Rins (Estrella Galicia 0'0) and Arthur Sissis (Red Bull KTM Ajo).

Matteo Ferrari is the only Italian driver on the track. The Team Ongetta-Centro Seta driver set the thirteenth time with a time of 1:59.908. The FTR Honda finished ahead of those of Isaac Vinales and Alexis Masbou. Eighteenth time instead for Ana Carrasco, the only woman on the track and riding the KTM of Team Calvo.
