250 cc – Test Jerez day 3 - Stoner is the fastest
Casey Stoner set the fastest time in Jerez on the final day of testing. The Australian Aprilia rider lapped in 1'44'526 and preceded the other Aprilia of Alex De Angelis. Third time for Roberto Locatelli, the Bergamo native precedes category debutants Mirko Giansanti (Aprilia) and the 2004 world champion in the 125 class Andrea Dovizioso on the Honda 250.
“I'm back in the 250 class and I'm sure I have everything I need to be one of the protagonists of next season – said Locatelli – These first tests served to readjust to the category after having ridden in the 125 class in the last two seasons.”
