250 cc – QP1 Rio, Elias is satisfied, Rolfo needs to improve

Toni Elías lost "at the last minute" the provisional front row of the Rio de Janeiro Grand Prix, but declared himself very satisfied with how the day went. The same cannot be said of Roberto Rolfo, who recognized that, despite having found the right direction, still has a lot of work to do.

Toni Elias (5nd)

“I think I can be satisfied with how this day went, we are getting closer and closer and we have improved quite a bit from all points of view, but tomorrow we have to continue working”.
“I still have some set-up problems, in particular with regards to the chassis, but, in general, for the first day I think I can be satisfied with what we did, in particular if we consider that we lapped very fast and that we didn't I'm a long way from pole."
“We still have to try a series of modifications to adapt the bike to this circuit and I think that once those have been made we can expect a certain margin of improvement in times”.

Roberto Rolfo (8th)

"I can't say I'm satisfied, given that I was forced to change bikes at the start of official practice and this broke my rhythm a bit."
“For this reason I was not able to make the most of the time available to me. However, we managed to draw some positive conclusions because I have a better feeling with the front of the bike and therefore I can ride much better."
“The work on the front suspension has brought about notable improvements and now the bike's reactions are much more predictable. This allows me to ride more safely and therefore faster, but in any case we have to continue working."
