The classic 125cc race in Valencia: great spectacle, leading group and the usual final sprint with 5 contenders for success. The final act of the 2008 season was won at the “Ricardo Tormo” by Simone Corsi, skilled in making the most of his Aprilia RSA, determined and concrete in taking a victory worth second place in the championship thanks to the concomitant withdrawal of Gabor Talmacsi , which fell due to a technical problem. The best way for Simone Corsi to end a season, in any case, positive, beating in a direct comparison the new world champion Mike Di Meglio (protagonist of an error while braking on the penultimate lap) and his teammate Nicolas Terol, with which came into contact five laps from the checkered flag.

For Simone Corsi it is the sixth victory in 125cc, the fourth of the season and, above all, the first in 11 races now: the Capitoline rider, in fact, had not even won since Mugello... Double also for the WRB Jack & Jones team, which in in the near future it will change its name and structure due to the divorce between Sito Pons and Italo Fontana, with different programs between 125 and 250cc. Returning to the race, Corsi's victory celebrates a good race for our riders, with Andrea Iannone positive in sixth, but far behind the leading group (over 20 seconds).

Important points for Iannone, equally for Lorenzo Zanetti (11th) and the new Italian and European champion Lorenzo Savadori, splendid 13th with the IC Team Aprilia, all this in his second world championship appearance. Raffaele De Rosa out of the game due to a fall, Marco Ravaioli out of the points, 20th with the Aprilia-Matteoni. Of note is Bradley Smith's fourth position in the last race of the Polaris World team, as well as Pablo Nieto's ninth position with the KTM Onde 2000: from tomorrow he will be team manager of the Ducati Onde 2000 team in MotoGP.
