Gabor Talmacsi achieved the best time in the warm up of the 125 class in Sepang, the penultimate event of the 2007 world championship. The Hungarian rider stopped the clock at 2'19"205, putting the German Team Emmi Caffè Latte Sandro Cortese behind him (+19 thousandths) and the Spanish Team Honda Repsol Esteve Rabat (+ 725 thousandths). Fourth time for Lukas Pesek, the Czech Derbi driver who lapped in 2'20"582 precedes the Spaniards Pablo Nieto and Sergio Gadea, who lapped in 2'21"001 and 2'21"201 respectively.

Seventh time for the Frenchman Mike Di Meglio, the Team Kopron Scot driver is followed by the Neapolitan Raffaele De Rosa and the poleman Hector Faubel who is 2"271 behind his teammate Talmacsi. Faubel is only one point behind Talmacsi in the world rankings. Followed by Bradley Smith, Alexis Masbou, Joan Olive, Michael Ranseder, Nicolas Terol, Roberto Tamburini, Mattia Pasini (in difficulty in Sepang) and Andrea Iannone.
