125cc – Nico Terol in solidarity with the Aefi association
Nico Terol, rider of the Bancaja Aspar Team, participated on the Ramiro Blanco mini motorbike circuit in the awards ceremony for the first year of the motorcyclist association AEFI (Association for specific education and training). Despite the less than excellent weather, the 125cc class world championship rider was able to share some time with children with special educational needs. This initiative seeks to better integrate children with Down syndrome, autism and Asperger's syndrome (as well as others) into society through sport, in this case motorcycling. And what better way to close this course with the assistance of one of the candidates for the 125 world championship? Here are Terol's words.
“Today was frankly a wonderful experience. When the kids saw me they were “excited” and I am really excited about them too. Unfortunately the weather did not allow the planned activities to be carried out. We chose a photo with all the mini-bikes parked and I enjoyed looking at their faces, the happiness they exuded from every pore. It seems that they have tried other sports, but the one that best suits their needs is motorcycling. For my part, I was happy to reach the end of the course and provide the relevant diplomas. I think it is a brilliant initiative, which greatly facilitates the integration of children with difficulties.”
