125cc Brno, Free Practice 2: Cortese is the fastest, good performance from Morciano

The second free practice session of the eighth-litre class in Brno (stage of the eleventh stage of the 2011 world championship) saw the German Sandro Cortese excel. The Intact-Racing Team Germany driver made a big leap forward compared to this morning (he improved his time by around three seconds) going ahead of the Frenchman Johann Zarco by 38 thousandths. However, Cortese was unable to beat the time set in the first session by Nico Terol; the leader of the world championship classification instead encountered difficulties in these Free Practice 2 which saw him finish in seventh place, just over seven tenths behind the German.

Third is Miguel Oliveria who on the Aprilia of Team Andalucia Banca Civica preceded the Spaniard Sergio Gadea (Blusens by Paris Hilton Racing) and the British Danny Kent of Team Red Bull Ajo MotorSport. Five Spaniards follow, namely Alberto Moncayo (Andalucia Banca Civica), the aforementioned Terol, Hector Faubel (Bankia Aspar Team), Efren Vazquez (Avant-AirAsia-Ajo) and Maverick Vinales who closes with the Blusens by Paris Hilton Racing Aprilia the Top Ten.

The German Schrotter is eleventh ahead of the Spaniards Luis Salom and Adrian Martin and our Luigi Morciano, first of the Italian drivers. The Team Italia FMI rider had an excellent session, finishing 1"699 from the top. A nice injection of confidence for him and for the Team which suffered so much in the first part of the season. Morciano precedes Jasper Iwema, Fagerhaug, Gruenwald, Webb, Rossi and his Phonica Racing compatriot Simone Grotzkyj Giorgi, twentieth and 2 seconds behind the top. The other Italians are Francesco Mauriello 545th, Manuel Tatasciore 25th and Alessandro Tonucci 28th.
