The 76th Dutch TT saw the 125 class race characterized by an incredible last lap which ended with a final three-man sprint. Probably, if Simone Corsi, driver of the Metis Gilera racing team, had not made some mistakes in the initial stages, he could have aspired to a different result and perhaps fought for the podium. Overtaking Czech driver Lukas Pesek on the final lap, he finished fourth, achieving his best result of the season. The nineteen-year-old Roman, however, said he was satisfied and confident for the next races, starting with next Sunday's at Donington Park, a track that he particularly likes.

“I made too many mistakes during the first laps and, despite having started well, I found myself chasing from twelfth position. Maybe in a couple of corners I braked too hard and the bike took off, I lost time and positions. Then I started to keep a good pace, lapping at the times of the leaders, and that's why I'm a little disappointed, because I'm convinced that today I could have achieved a better result and perhaps fought for the podium. I want to thank the whole team because they are working very well and helping me. I hope that from next Sunday at Donington Park, a track that I really like, we can think about improving further, and maybe keep an eye on the podium."
